Candy Box - 1960s
The dragon and phoenix pattern on the candy box symbolises good luck, harmony, and prosperity. Common in weddings and Lunar New Year food containers. School Bag - 1970s
Red A school bag, aka "Space Bag", inspired by 1960s James Bond briefcase—stylish and futuristic. Slogan: "Unbreakable, unflattable, waterproof, can sit on it". Practical and cool, it became a hit among students and workers, carrying Hong Kongers' growth memories.
Stool - 1970s
Red A rectangular plastic stool suited 1970s cramped living—practical and durable. Lightweight, easy to move and store. For kids as desk chair or playmate; for adults, chatting in corridors. It blended into simple, warm times.
Watering Can - 1970s
During water rationing, Red A launched containers including the watering can (shower head). Scarce water prompted multi-use: gardening, home cleaning, floor washing—witness to tough eras.
Chamber Pot - 1990s
Before widespread sanitation, the chamber pot was essential "night fragrance" for elders and children. Today, used for potty training. In weddings, as "grandchild bucket" in dowry, symbolising heirs and blessings, carrying cultural depth.
